Kitchen
 |
Clean up after yourself immediately and completely:
° |
Leave things cleaner than when you started. |
| ° |
If it needs to be washed, wash it. If it needs to be wiped, wipe it. If it needs to be swept, sweep it. If it needs to be mopped ... |
| ° |
No dishes should ever be left in the sink. If dishes are found in the sink, their owner should be tracked down and held accountable.
 |
|
| |
Be quiet. Respect the people working near the kitchen.
 |
 |
Appliances:
° |
When the dishwasher is full, fill it with soap and start it. |
| ° |
When you unlock the dishwasher, empty the whole thing (do not remove just one dish). |
| ° |
Turn off ovens, griddles and burners. |
| ° |
The griddle has a pilot light, do not leave anything on it.
 |
|
| |
Replace the 10 gallon water bottle when you use it up.
 |
| |
Make coffee if you pour the last cup.
 |
 |
Food:
° |
Label your personal food with your name and the date. |
| ° |
Anything older than a week can be thrown out. |
| ° |
Do not let your food rot in the fridge. |
| ° |
Remember, the fridge is shared by all, don't hog space.
 |
|
| |
Recycle anything that can be recycled. Place all recyclables in their correct bin.
 |
| |
Don't let your desk become a Bermuda Triangle If you take mugs, plates, or utensils from the kitchen; return them (and clean them) when you are done.
 |
On meetings
 |
Always send out a GAP for a meeting Goal, Agenda, Preparation. |
| |
Show up to meetings on time |
| |
Last person to a meeting writes the meeting report. |
| |
Don't interrupt others when they speak. |
| |
Leave a conference room as clean or cleaner than when you arrived. |
| |
Conserve Energy! Switch off the lights (and fan) after every meeting. |
