Most people don't know that: MNB comes from an old IRC name, ManNBlack. Nicknames were limited to 9 characters. It got shortened by the users to MNB, which typed easy and sounded good. Man in Black itself was taken from Princess Bride, a favorite movie of mine (long before the Will Smith movie).
